Context and needs
The Directorate General of Taxes used an application developed with Microsoft Access. This solution could no longer adequately support interconnection between provinces or centralize provincial tax data in Kinshasa. Phoenix GDA developed a web version of GESIMPOT to modernize and centralize tax-data management.
Objectives
- Modernize the former Microsoft Access-based GESIMPOT application
- Centralize provincial tax data in Kinshasa
- Interconnect provincial tax offices
- Improve the availability and reliability of tax data

- Audit of the Microsoft Access application and existing processes
- Design of the web architecture and centralized database
- Development of tax-management and consolidation modules
- Deployment, testing and support for user departments
